About Us

Our vision

Emerging Risks examines the latest strategic and operational risks facing both corporate buyers and the (re)insurance market, which enables them to manage these risks.  We are the only dedicated publication looking at the future of risk, delivering insightful news and cogent analysis on the key emerging topics facing the market in these turbulent times.

Businesses and the insurance market need to tackle these challenges head-on if they are to successfully navigate the turbulent risk waters which the coming years present.

Emerging Risks embraces the most important emerging risks facing businesses across five broad categories:

  • Climate Change Risks
  • Cyber/AI Risks
  • Financial Risks
  • Geopolitical Risks
  • Systemic Risks

These broad range of subjects encompass a wide range of subsectors such as biodiversity, robotics, operational risk, pandemic risk and terrorism. Our aim is to present a holistic view of the emerging risk universe.

As well as in-house editorial coverage, we also host the latest research and analysis from leading academic institutions, think-tanks and the (re)insurance market itself.

To enhance our delivery, our events division brings together key players in the emerging risks universe to offer dynamic debate and opinion on the latest topics of the day.

The new publication is run jointly on the editorial side by Marcus Alcock and Jon Guy, both of whom have extensive experience of the risk markets across a range of market-leading titles and bring to the table outstanding editorial quality and oversight.
