Specialist engineering and technology insurer HSB, has launched its online broker platform in Ireland.
The underwriters, part of the Munich Re group has made the broker trading platform accessible to Irish intermediaries. They will be able to access the full range of HSB products, including construction annual, construction project, contractors’ plant, computer and cyber. The underwriter said it expected to expand the number of products in the coming months.
Stephen Coughlan, Regional Development Manager – Ireland said: “We are delighted to launch HSB Fast Track in Ireland. Following the successful roll-out in the UK, we wanted to offer our state-of-the-art online services to our brokers in Ireland. Our e-trade platform has been designed to make construction and engineering products easy to trade electronically, and its development follows research and feedback from our brokers to ensure that HSB Fast Track is as comprehensive as possible.”
The firm said the move into Ireland followed the roll-out of the system in the UK last year and is part of HSB’s online distribution strategy.
HSB said its online platform and e-trade strategy is supported by a dedicated e-trade team, enabling brokers’ direct access to a specialist team of underwriters. Headed by Martin Parker, Development Manager, the team is focused on servicing all e-trade referrals, access requests, renewals and underwriting support queries.
Mr Parker explained: “We want to make trading with HSB a quick, simple, and enjoyable process for our brokers. For us, e-trading isn’t just about providing an online trading platform.”
